Sweeping lawns and weeping willows, the gently flowing river and gliding swans, making your vows on our unique 19th Century river barge before enjoying your wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Rooms - no wonder so many prospective brides go weak at the knees when they visit The Swan at Streatley!
Ours is a truly delightful location on the banks of the River Thames in a picturesque Berkshire village that borders Oxfordshire, and is only 15 minutes from the M4 and Reading Town Centre.
Our other, not so secret, wedding weapons are our very own, fabulous Wedding Co-ordinator on-hand, at no extra charge, to provide advice and support and ensure the planning of your wedding is as enjoyable and smooth running as the day itself - and our brilliant team of staff who can’t do enough for our guests. The praise and thanks they receive are numerous but here a few snippets:
The hotel has an amazing location, our function room was great for our celebration. The food was delicious and all staff from the reception to the waiting staff and the bar staff, were very efficient and polite. Naomi August 2015
From the first phone call to the moment we sat down to our Wedding Breakfast we were never left alone to arrange anything. The complementary meal and wine tasting and the personalized packages allowed all our guests, including vegans and vegetarians, from the very young to the older guests to be catered for from food, drink and comfort. Don't look anywhere else! David & Samantha May 2015
Our wedding at The Swan at Streatley was the best day of our lives! We booked our wedding eight months in advance and the planning stage was so enjoyable and exciting all thanks to the wonderful staff who met our every need. Jodie, the wedding co-ordinator, is calm and patient, creative and resourceful. Our ceremony was held in the beautiful barge which is moored on the Thames River, followed by reception drinks on the stunning lawns and wedding breakfast in the events suite. The location and setting is breathtaking and the food is fabulous." Mrs G August 2014Get in touch
